Description

We are looking for Production Operatives to work with our client based in the Driffield area.

You should have production experience, a good understanding of health and safety and be able to work as part of a team.

But full training will be given if not

As a Packing Machine Operator, you will be based in the packing department of the factory it's a fastmoving manufacturing environment so you must be comfortable with working in a dynamic and often challenging environment.
You will be trained on how to set up and run a variety of packing lines, respond to machine stoppages, identify, and correct issues where possible or escalate to the engineering team if required.
You will also replenish components to ensure continuous production is maintained.
Perform various quality checks such as metal detection, barcodes and best before dates.
In addition to that, your role will include operating a forklift truck, all the training will be provided.
You will be the machine owner and be responsible for driving OEE and coordinate stakeholders to ensure that you receive the service you require to keep the machine running to a high standard.
When you join us you will go through our structured induction and training programme, your training will continue as you progress in the role.
As your skill set grows, you will have an opportunity to increase your salary within your first 6 months of starting with the Company.

This position will be within the packing department but may need to move between departments as required to support the needs of the business.

Shift Pattern:

Averages 42 hours per week, Monday to Sunday days to nights over a 4-week period working 6am - 6pm and 6pm to 6am travelling only 7 shifts over a 14-day period with three paid 20-minute breaks each shift.

Starting salary is £11.78 after full training you could achieve up to £13.59 per hour

Overtime is paid at time and a half, you can receive a yearly attendance bonus, a monthly tonnage incentive payment as well as overtime paid on the 15-minute pre-shift handover.

Company sick pay [where eligible], life insurance to the equivalent of 4x basic salary plus a generous holiday entitlement.
