Teaching Assistants for Secondary Education:

We have an extremely high demand in the Dewsbury area for Teaching Assistants, specifically within secondary school settings with pupils aged from 11-18 years old.

We currently have a variety of day-to-day, long-term, and temp-to-perm opportunities to suit various needs and requirements on a full-time or part-time basis.


Teaching Assistant duties will include:


  • Supporting the teacher and pupils in class
  • First aid duties as and when required following any current Care Plans
  • Taking small groups out of class for interventions and 1 to 1 support as and when required under the direction of class teacher
  • Attending any training statutory to your role, including but not limited to Safeguarding, First Aid, Fire Safety, Prevent and GDPR.

Successful applicants will have:


  • QTS status or equivalent
  • Recent experience working in a secondary education setting
  • Passion, empathy, and confidence
  • Superb behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively alongside teaching staff
  • An uptodate Enhanced DBS Certificate that is on the DBS Update Service (or be willing to undertake a new one)
  • Proof of Safeguarding Children at a minimum of Level 1 (or be willing to undergo online training)
