Assistant Events Executive - Kidz to Adultz Exhibitions

Permanent position

Starting salary:
£24K (rising to £26K after successful probation)

**Hours: 35 hours Monday

  • Friday 9.00am 4.30pm**

Disabled Living is a third sector organisation based in Manchester offering services throughout the UK.

Disabled Living provides impartial information and advice about equipment and products (assistive technology) and services for disabled children, adults, older people, carers, and the professionals who support them.

The organisation has transformed its purpose in recent years and the focus of the current business plan is to secure new and sustainable income streams from commercial activities, without losing sight of our charitable objectives.


Role

Main duties

  • Assist on all aspects of events from preevent planning through to postevent evaluation and reporting.
  • Assist on event related tasks including: event admin duties, supplier liaison, research of stakeholders (visitors, exhibitors, speakers, features etc), facilities, suppliers, registration, AV & technical, transportation, exhibition & signage, health & safety, security and risk assessment.
  • Responsible for organising exciting activities within the fun and features areas for events an excellent opportunity to take the fun and features area to the next level.
  • To attend events and meetings nationally, which willnecessitate occasional overnight stays
  • Assist on promoting, increasing the engagement and develop content across all social media platforms.
  • Working with all staff to coordinate, contribute and implement various income generation and marketing activities to support sales, research and supporting colleagues to achieve targets.
  • Contribute further to developing the excellent relationship the organisation has with commercial, statutory and third sector partners both in the UK and abroad.
  • To help develop projects which turn ideas into action
  • Undertake research & data analysis
  • To undertake administration and organisational tasks to ensure the smooth running of the organisation and associated activities.

Salary:
From £24,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Worsely, M28 2LY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Event Management: 1 year (preferred)
