Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals,we are looking for a
Finance Manager to work in our Slough office
. Reporting directly into the Finance Director, you will work in a team of 5 supporting the UK and Ireland business and its 3 manufacturing sites.


Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals is a newly formed business within Saint-Gobain, combining the recent Chryso and GCP acquisitions. The
Finance Managerwill be a part of
Finance Team UK&I and have the following key accountabilities:

  • High quality monthly reporting for UK & Ireland companies (Holding and Trading) in line with IFRS and UK GAAP (FRS 102), implementation of strong controls, balance sheet reconciliation processes and resolution of internal audit recommendations.
  • Application of IFRS knowledge to daytoday accounting transactions to ensure compliance.
  • Preparation, timely completion and filing of all UK company statutory requirements including, but not limited to, statutory accounts, tax, VAT, ONS filings etc.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including Finance Director, Managing Director, Commercial Leads, Operations, and HR.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Group accounting policies.
  • Supporting and driving integration and harmonisation of GCP and Chryso businesses.

What we're looking for:


  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Ideally worked for one of the 'Big 4' or relevant practice background
  • Experience of working in a Finance/Accounting controlling role
  • Experience of managing internal and external audits
  • Expertise is financial systems and tools such as SAP and Sage Line
  • VAT/Duty experience is preferred
