OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The role of the Internal Sales Supervisor is to manage the day-to-day operation of the internal sales function in the most cost efficient and customer focused manner while being fully compliant with all relevant legislation, regulation and in line with company policy and procedures.


To ensure a high level of customer service is provided to our customers and manage productivity within the parameters of Health & Safety and Quality.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibility for internal sales administration.
  • Develop and manage a strong, focused internal sales team.
  • Ensure high performance levels for internal sales colleagues.
  • Ensure training is up to date in relation to product and procedural knowledge.
  • Engage in risk management assessments with group H&S.
  • Responsible for the implementation of company policies and procedures in relation to performance management, H&S, SOP's and SLA's.
  • Coordinate with procurement, transport and warehouse teams to implement SOP's for outgoing deliveries, as well as communication protocols.
  • Implement agreed SLA's internally with purchasing and transport colleagues and with the external sales team and SIG customers.
  • Ensure regular colleague engagement and feedback.
  • Manage the flow of information to external sales in relation to project or pricing enquiries.
  • Ensure administration of invoicing, crediting, filing, scanning, and general admin is kept up to date.
  • Manage sales targets internally.
  • Price list and catalogue maintenance.
  • Ensure cash sale accounts are balanced in line with company policy.
  • H&S considerations and weekly checks.
  • Oversee the Belfast Trade Counter function.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record in customer service management experience, preferably within the construction product supply Industry.
  • More than one year's experience of managing a team in a fastpaced customer service / internal sales office environment.
  • Knowledge of best customer service & administration practices.
  • Proven experience of implementing high standards of Health and Safety.
  • Good computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel.
  • Selfmotivating, good interpersonal skills.
  • A proven track record of delivering results against KPI's and targets.
  • Strong customer focus and a commitment to providing a quality service.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to influence others to deliver results.
  • Strong time management, organisation, and planning skills.
  • Ability to support and motivate a team.
  • Commitment to learn and develop new skills.

  • Sales order input accuracy.
  • Completion of cash sale processes.
  • Quotation and project files up to date and in order.
  • Customer service levels.
  • Collect sales revenue.
  • Internal sales efficiency KPIs.
