Role Overview:


The role of Handyman is key to the site operation, being one of the main points of contact for client queries.

The role holder is responsible for customer interaction and all skilled handyman duties, including plumbing and providing maintenance assistance.

The Handyman role assists the mobile M&E (MES) team with PPM tasks and any onsite adjustments needed with their remote guidance.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Actively demonstrate strong Host values, with a customer delight mindset during all tasks.

Via daily GEMBA walks, assess workplace condition and proactively address issues without the need for these to be reported.

Respond to client requests by executing the reactive tasks via Engineering Service Requests in line with SLA's/KPI's.

Complete Planned Preventative maintenance (PPM) ensuring that KPI's are met in line with client requirements.

Must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of all systems within the building services environment

Respond to the requests of the operations by carrying out tasked associated with Breakdowns.

A strong comprehension of compliance with government legislation.


Provide effective feed back to the Workplace Leader/Engineering Managers to ensure that Managers are aware of any Facilities/System/Equipment/Site Engineering abnormalities.

Maintain understanding of other Host services, to support these teams during periods of high demand or staff absence.

Perform any reasonable task as required by their Supervisor / Manager

Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training.

Monitor utilities usage and make adjustments to improve this.

Follow required emergency procedures as documented and to respond accordingly during emergency situations.

Report all hazards, accidents, occupational illnesses and emergencies.

To take responsibility for defects and follow up on any repairs.

Fault finding of IT/AV issues, rectifying these where possible.

AV equipment installations. Adapting existing and installing new equipment in meeting rooms and conference areas.

Conference room adjustments and Host community event set up and support.

First response for MFD printer issues, incl. consumable replacements.

To be self-motivated and proactively seek out work.

Host & induct specialist sub-contractors, and ensure they conform to site requirements.

EDUCATION
IPAF or equivalent licence for MEWP operation

Full UK driving licence

Experience of working within a maintenance Team

Manual Handling

First Aid
