Nineteen Recruitment is an award winning, ethical and honest, recruitment agency that specialises in providing temporary staffing and permanent recruitment services to the education, social care and public sectors.


The role is based at our office in North shields, 5 days per week, working 9am to 5pm, with an hour's lunch but there is some flexibility with regards to the working hours if needed.

We offer 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, and also a quota of fully paid self care days.

We understand that working in the recruitment industry, and life in general, can be tough and overwhelming sometimes. Our self care days allow our staff to take a day when they need to prioritise their wellbeing.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Keep up to date with any guidance changes, and ensure our company processes continue to meet our legal obligations.
  • Ensure company policies and processes remain compliant.
  • Attend compliance training as and when required, and feedback anything of relevance to the team.
  • Manage ongoing DBS checks
  • Ensure all workers remain compliant at all times, monitoring those with a temporary right to work status, expiring DBS checks, and expiring training certificates.
  • Support consultants with compliance queries as and when needed.
  • Manage all outgoing referencing.
  • Manage the company website and ensure job vacancies on the website's job board remain up to date at all times.
  • Liaise with the service provider for our CRM, contribute to the development of new functionality by giving helpful feedback on how the system could be more aligned with our own processes.
  • Work with the Directors to ensure the company's focus on providing an ethical, transparent, and fully compliant service is always at the forefront of everything we do.
  • Ensure the correct documents are retained for workers past and present, in line with guidance.
  • Data entry as part of weekly payroll
  • Liaise with our back office partners to ensure a seamless partnership
  • Ensure you remain up to date with any key changes relating to right to work, safeguarding, DBS, and communicate these changes to the team.
  • Produce monthly figures and discuss these in monthly one to one meetings with the Director.

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • A passion for compliance
  • An understanding of the critical nature of compliance when working in the education and social care sectors
  • Excellent compliance knowledge
  • Experience of compliance within a recruitment agency environment
  • Experience of CRM packages
  • Excellent standard of written communication skills.
  • Methodical and organised approach to work
  • Confidence in decision making and the ability to challenge others where standards are not met.
  • A willingness to learn and embrace the company's core values
  • An honest and ethical approach
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage own time effectively
  • Formal compliance training is preferred.
