TPP is working with a
specialist awarding organisation for the
engineering industry, that
embraces change to build on tried and tested methods, to appoint a
Product Specialist.


This is a
temporary position for 4 months, working
full time (35 hrs per week), but with flexibility for a 4-day week depending on individual circumstances.

This position is
home-based, remote, with occasional
expenses paid team days in varied locations across the UK.

About the role - Product Specialist:Reporting to a
Product Team Leader, this role is
responsible for the development and management of products, ensuring they are
produced at the right time to maximise their commercial value and
maintained appropriately throughout their life cycle.


Product Specialists
engage with the sector stakeholders for development purposes, work on the
technical development of products,
identify business opportunities,
implement some marketing strategies, and
maintain awareness of competitor's products.


Key responsibilities - Product Specialist:


  • Develop, and launch new innovative products that are relevant for the market and meet the specification.
  • Maintain and continually improve a portfolio of existing products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Work with other internal teams to ensure that products and services are launched on time, to budget and meet the needs of stakeholders.
  • Build strong effective working relationships with external and internal stakeholders to determine needs and requirements.
  • Ensure that the portfolio of products and services have validity and comply with all current regulatory and internal process requirements.
  • Attend sector related meetings with a range of stakeholders.
  • Understand the current and future requirements, needs and opinions of the sectors.
  • Work closely with colleagues and internal stakeholders to generate and respond to new product ideas.
  • Support the investigation of Adverse Effects, Maladministration and/or Malpractice notifications and identify appropriate corrective or preventative actions.
  • Support the requirements of the internal Quality Management System (QMS) and comply with applicable operating procedures and guidance relating to the delivery.

Skills / Experience required - Product Specialist:

  • Knowledge of qualification design and assessment
  • Knowledge and experience of different assessment methods
  • Previous experience of working in qualifications development and/or delivery
  • Ability to produce technical documents accurately to deadlines
  • Confident and competent in providing high quality technical support to internal and external customers
  • Able to gather and interpret information and data
  • Can work collaboratively across different teams/departments and organisations
  • Experience of recognised technical qualifications
