As a Logistics Coordinator based at Robin Rigg in the production team, you will be managing the day to day operation of the warehouse with CMMS Order request processing and administration.


The role provides inventory management for the windfarm and the control of the sites Lifting Equipment register, PPE Register and compliance with site Written Schemes of Examination.


Main Responsibilities:

  • To ensure efficient processes in place for O&M mobilisation to support both Onshore & Offshore operations
  • The Logistics Coordinator will manage the strategy to stock spares, tools & equipment to comply with the site Maintenance plans for Offshore Wind Turbines and associated balance of Plant
  • To determine and implement Materials Management Strategy that aligns with the Maintenance Strategy for the site for short/mid/long term business plan
  • Warehouse operational logistics in place to support 7 day week / 365 days per year
  • Management of warehouse compliance with associated regulations and standards, e.g., PUWER, COSHH, Racking & Storage
  • Continuous improvement plan and lean methodologies in place to drive O&M efficiency
  • Site management for CMMS (Materials Management), this includes ERP strategy derived from historic consumption, component criticality studies & scheduled maintenance scope (PM) to manage Reorder Thresholds, Reorder Quantities & Safety stock levels
  • The Logistics Coordinators will represent the site at a Fleet level for latest MM strategy
  • Processes established via CMMS & warehouse free issue equipment to manage free issue daily consumables
  • Optimise stores layout and available smart storage equipment
  • Develop & implement warehouse operational procedures
  • Engage with site ancillary contract service providers such as fuel delivery, waste management etc
  • Control of purchasing to ensure financial administrative procedures and discipline are followed

Essential skills:

  • SAP Materials Management user experience
  • Previous experience of managing operational logistics
  • Building and deciphering reports
  • High quality communication skills able to develop a strong rapport, empathy and professional credibility with senior managers and wider team
  • Commercial awareness

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of Offshore Wind or similar O&M
  • Contract management
  • Lean /Operational Excellence / Green Sigma


  • HSE qualification

  • IOSH /NEBOSH/COSHH
  • SAP Planned Maintenance user experience
  • Working in an environment with and implementing a recognised Quality Management System such as ISO 900
  • Fork lift truck, MEWP and telehandler experience including up to date certificates or be prepared to achieve this given the necessary instruction & training
The working shift pattern for this role will be 7 days on / 7 days off.
