What we are looking for:


There will also be an expectation to attend most outdoor events from mid-May through to late September, to assist on social media, guest list and administration roles.


The responsibilities include the tasks below:


  • Marketing and social media
  • To support the Marketing Team and manage the content across all of Dreamland's social media platforms.
  • To develop and work within the guidelines of the marketing and social media strategy to drive all the platforms forward and deliver online campaigns.
  • To grow audiences and build upon the current success of the social media platforms and develop them further.
  • Scheduling and posting content on all social media platforms in accordance with the content strategy.
  • Seeking out stories and creating unique quality content that can be used across all social media platforms.
  • Community management ‐ monitoring and responding to comments in a timely manner.
  • Staying abreast of new social media platforms and technology used, making recommendations on new platforms for Dreamland to engage in.
  • Being on site during key times and attending events at Dreamland to document on social media and collating content for future use.
  • Produce reports on social media postperformance/social media campaigns, including building weekly reports and event specific reporting.
  • Researching and delivering external content to support and augment Dreamland's channels.
  • Working to KPIs to deliver the social media strategy.
  • Researching current trends to ensure that Dreamland Margate is at the forefront of any relevant movement.
  • Respond to image requests received by the Marketing Team.
  • Assist with the collection of content (video and images) for the park, events, and any other opportunities.
  • Assist in the management and schedule of the onsite digital screens.

Commercial and corporate events

  • Assist with the operations of corporate events, park events and private events, including event setup, and on the day operational support.
  • Carry out research to help develop new and upcoming park events, liaising with local traders and participating businesses where required.
  • Respond to inbound sales enquiries assigned by the Commercial Manager
  • Monitor and update external venue listing sites.
  • Facilitate advance amusement park sales, including but not limited to bulk ride token purchases for large groups.
  • Assist, as required, in booking staff to the agreed levels (of Managers, Supervisors, Stewards, Security Officers, Medics, Fire & Safety Officers, Guest Experience, Cleaning, IT and Estates support) for all our allocated events to ensure that they meet the agreed level and any risk assessed requirements.

Live events and programming

  • Administrative support to the events and programming team creating spreadsheets, documents, presentations, record keeping, filing, printing, laminating, etc.
  • Ensuring the contract process is closely monitored and kept up to date for all selfpromote and promoter hire shows.
  • To manage the programming diary, reporting on availability, logging activity on the booking system and updating event information.
  • Any other adhoc event related tasks in support of the live music programme or park wide events.
  • Collating artist itineraries and internal/external advancing documentation, including accommodation and travel organisation if selfpromoted.


The above list is not exhaustive and owing to Dreamland varied operational needs individuals may be required to carry out additional duties.


Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience in social media management.
  • Experience of working in a commercial events team.
  • Experience of working in a venue or events site.
  • A good working knowledge of operational requirements surrounding different types of events.
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills
  • Ability to plan ahead.
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate analytical approach to problem
solving.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint) and internet software.

Desirable

  • Experience of PRS Returns.
  • A basic understanding of event production.
  • Event Management experience.
  • Experience of using systems such as Sprout Social and MailChimp.
  • Customer Service experience.
