Working with this team will give you the opportunity to work with leading banks in the world and help them to transform their risk and control functions while providing ample opportunities for you to learn the leading practices adopted by these institutions.


The role:


As part of expansion of our footprints in Financial Risk offerings, we are hiring specialist credit risk consultants with prior practical experience in providing credit measurement modelling and analytics services to our clients as part of IRB repair and other broader Basel 3.1 offerings.


  • Support Wipro risk leaders in leading credit risk offerings of Wipro for BFSI clients to support business growth
  • Participate in transformation programmes involving changes to credit measurement eco systems covering various areas including setting up reference data det (RDS), model risk management, model monitoring, implementation and maintenance
  • Build or validate credit decisioning, IRB or IFRS 9 models with ability to work effectively with credit modellers, risk and portfolio risk management teams of leading banks
  • Modelling and validation experience across different portfolios will be an advantage
  • Work with Wipro leadership team to prepare point of views on credit risk to increase Wipro's market presence in this space
  • Providing technical guidance and interpretation of prudential regulations (IRB, IFRS 9, Stress Testing, ESG)
  • Work effectively as part of broader Wipro and client project teams to support our clients manage their regulatory programmes such as IRB repair
  • Lead and manage teams and individuals to support meeting client demands as well as people development, mentoring and leadership

Key Skills, Competencies & Experience:


  • Technical understanding of Credit Risk:
  • Good credit modelling skills and experience in the development, delivery and/or validation of credit risk models under one or more of the IFRS9, IRB and Stress Testing models
  • Understanding of the management of credit financials, associated governance and stakeholder perspectives
  • Significant knowledge of the financial services industry and the credit fundamentals of different banking products for retail and wholesale customers
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to nonexpert audiences
  • Programming Skills
  • Advanced skills with modelling software such as SAS, SQL, MS Excel (including VBA), Python, R in cloud environments
  • Consulting Skills:
  • Prior experience working in a reputed consulting firms (e.g., Big 4) or with modelling or model validation teams with global banks
  • Proactive and delivery focused with excellent communication skills and organised approach to completing activities and deliverables
  • Able to confidently present ideas to inform and influence leadership decisions
  • Strong facilitation skills to elicit information from key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Proven and demonstrable analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to think laterally and generate creative solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and delivery focused attitude
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, recognise and prioritise deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, completing tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ability to form and develop an effective network.
