Dentaid The Dental Charity is a fast growing and dynamic charity based in Totton. We are seeking a motivated and hardworking finance officer to join our busy team.
You will need to be flexible in your approach, open to taking on responsibility, and have a passion for giving back through dentistry.
Purpose
To work closely with the Head of Finance to maintain accurate, up to date and usable financial records.
Job duties include daily bank and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure charitable income, expenditure and funds are efficiently and precisely recorded and comply with charity accounting regulations.
Key responsibilities
Daily reconciliations between Xero software and bank accounts.
Monitoring and analysing funds raised from multiple sources, subsequently recording and monitoring how these funds are expended on charitable clinics.
Maintaining AP ledger, processing invoices and expenses, managing the PO process.
Month end processes including accruals and prepayments, posting payroll journals, fixed asset and working capital reviews and balance sheet reconciliations.

Charity experience a bonus
Essential
AAT 3 qualified
Experience of Xero accounting software preferable
Strong IT skills, particularly Excel, ability to work with data and systems
Analytical problem solver
Pension:
All eligible staff will be auto enrolled into a pension scheme offered by True Potential Investor upon commencement of employment.
Upon auto-enrolment staff will receive a welcome pack.Contract:
Permanent
Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 days bank holidays ( pro rata for 35 hours)
Salary:
£32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
