We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Dispatcher.

As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation and logistics operations as well as sharing responsibility for loading material with a Loading Shovel.

• Coordinate and schedule customer orders with haulier, ensuring timely delivery
• Receive telephone orders from customers and liaise with customers on deliveries
• Communicate with drivers to provide necessary instructions and updates
• Loading operation of weighbridge to load vehicles, basic computer ability required
• Operate loading shovel in warehouse environment to process product, some checks and maintenance required
• Maintain accurate records when operating machinery and the weighbridge
• Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

• Previous experience in a weighbridge role as well as operating a loading shovel
• Proficient in data entry and using computer systems
• Familiarity with H&S policies, construction industry and maintenance tasks is a plus
• Must be flexible to work different day shift patterns as standard
• Must also be flexible to work some night shifts and weekends, especially when vessels are discharging which can be every month
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact with drivers, carriers, and customers
• Ability to work on your own and within a small team

Salary:
£14.00-£16.00 per hour
