Administrative Assistant:
Full / Part Time:
Up to 37.5hours
First Steps ED is a leading charity dedicated to supporting individuals and their families affected by eating disorders. We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Administrative Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team.
This role will provide essential administrative assistance across various areas within the organisation, including supporting the administrative lead and assisting with the management of Peer Support Workshops and Guided Self-Help services.
Additionally, the role will involve general office duties including engaging with our clients and stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of our charity.
What will the role involve?
- Support the Administrative Lead
Workshop Management: Provide administrative support for our workshops, including organising participant registration, liaising with workshop facilitators, preparing materials, and ensuring smooth logístical arrangements.

Data Management:Assist in the maintenance of our database by accurately entering and updating information, ensuring data integrity, and generating reports as required.

Collaborative Support:Work closely with other team members to provide administrative support in various areas, as needed, fostering a positive and cooperative working environment.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Previous experience in an administrative support role is preferred.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative tasks.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with database management systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and selfmotivated approach.
- Sensitivity and empathy towards individuals affected by eating disorders is highly valued.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure when required.
Qualifications:
- GCSE grades A to C minimum.
