Main Purpose of Job:

Provide high quality childcare for families from the local communities. Oversee the operation of the wraparound care venue to the highest standards.


Responsible to:

Line Manager


Responsible for:

Wraparound care venue, playworkers and all children


Liaise with:

All staff, children, parents/careers and any other external organisations as necessary.


Main Tasks of Job:

1) To be responsible for and to oversee the day to day management, staffing, organisation and smooth running of the wraparound care venue

2) To continue the ethos of Premier-education wraparound care and to create a welcoming and friendly environment

3) Contribute to the strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation and development of the venue

4) Responsible at all times for high standards of care and education of children between 4 and 12 years in accordance with statutory requirements. Ensure the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework is promoted and delivered within the setting and the principles adhered to

5) Ensure all records are accurately maintained and in line with procedures

6) Accountable and responsible for the day to day financial systems. Including ordering and maintaining equipment and resources

7) Monitor and identify staff training needs and facilitate training opportunities.

8) Contribute to and lead the team effort.

9) Attend all relevant meetings

10) Undertake all necessary training

11) Responsibility to maintain a positive, supportive, safe and clean environment

12) Ensure that Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times following company policy and child protection guidelines

13) Oversee the safety of all children, monitor and supervise participants and administer first aid in the event of illness or injury as necessary

14) Communicate effectively with all designated schools as an advocate for PREMIER EDUCATION and their values

15) Liaising with all employees, children, parents and families to ensure that the above tasks are completed efficiently.


The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Salary:
£10.50-£13.50 per hour
