Description
This is a 2-year Fixed term contract role.


The Public Health Research Officer will use an array of research methods to develop a detailed evidence base around the impact of theatre on the mental health and wellbeing of young people.

Using a data-led approach, they will identify the role creative practice can play in reducing health inequalities for young people, especially in communities impacted by lower levels of cultural provision.


Reporting to the Head of Organisational Strategy and working closely with our Creative Partnerships and Fundraising and Development teams, the research officer will design and deliver an ongoing programme of data collection and impact evaluation to quantify the effectiveness and impact of Hippodrome Unlocked creative programmes and interventions.


The role will involve working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including our Hippodrome Education Network (HEN) schools and communities of the city and Birmingham City Council's Public Health Division, as well as engaging with the wider sector across the city to build a city-wide evidence map and inform local practice and policy.
