Location:Remote/Hybrid Welwyn, Hertfordshire***
Salary:£ £45.00 per hour PAYE, Inside of IR35***
Full Time

12-month Contract
***Our client is a globally leading Pharmaceutical company, who are looking for a Data Acquisition Specialist to join their team on a Remote/Hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively supporting the Data Acquisition group to establish and cultivate relationships with internal and external suppliers of data to ensure the collection and/or access of meaningful data to further safety strategy
  • Providing expertise in the development and/or implement metrics, KPIs and business performance measures to forecast/monitor incoming data standard and supply trends, proactively identify and resolve potential issues, and support decision making
  • Providing answers to PV related questions from data suppliers (including global digital channels) in global functions, in collaboration, where necessary, with IPV to ensure alignment
  • Collaborating with counterparts across the whole company in areas where contractual agreements are required to provide expertise on the data to be collected (as determined by downstream customers of the data)
  • Working with other members of the Data Acquisition group to ensure data standards are understood and clearly communicated to data suppliers and stakeholders
  • Contributing to corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs) based on trend analysis, deviations and/or audit findings
  • Developing PV training requirements and creating PV related content for data supplier training materials, as appropriate
  • Representing PDSO at internal and external forums, communicating PDSO accountabilities, deliverables and achievement as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the business strategies and clearly articulating these to stakeholders and customers
  • Contribute to the definition and development of objectives and priorities, which are regularly reviewed and revised on a rolling basis, remaining anchored to the overarching mission of Data Acquisition
  • Develop a good understanding of molecule and disease area strategies through collaboration with Safety Science
  • Employ a system thinking, opportunistic and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Engage in continuous learning and maintain a broad understanding/holistic view of the whole organisation (PD, PT, GPS etc.), keeping abreast of key projects and initiatives to identify opportunities for collaboration and the acquisition of meaningful data
  • Work in an agile fashion, forming and concluding squads/sprints as necessary and taking on the role as Squad Lead when appropriate
  • Represent PDSO at internal and external forums, communicating PDSO accountabilities, deliverables and achievements as appropriate.
  • Role model behaviours that delivers an agile organisational culture that is in line with values, and the PD/PDS Strategy.

Requirements:


  • Appropriate (~3 year) industry experience, preferably in areas relevant to pharmacovigilance
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry (product development and the commercial environment) and of rapidly evolving personalized healthcare environment and ecosystem
  • Welldeveloped influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation, without direct authority.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, builds strong sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to engage with new stakeholders effectively and with a high degree of comfort and confidence
  • Effective leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to input and deliver on strategy
  • Ability to work in global or matrix teams in accordance with the company leadership commitments and values, and to work across geographic areas, business settings and cultures, including in a virtual environment.
  • Good conflict management and resolution skills.
  • Creative problem solving in a complex, processfocused environment.
  • Proven track record of effective decisionmaking; makes good business decisions and exercises sound judgement.
