A London based automotive retailer (Cargiant) is looking to acquire a dedicated apprentice Paint technician who would be interested in working towards a Level 3 in Vehicle Damage Paint apprenticeship standard.

As an apprentice, you will be mentored alongside experienced paint and body technicians where you will learn to prepare, repair and paint vehicles to a very high standard.

Duties will include:

Be able to prepare, spray and finish vehicles using the latest bodyshop technology
Ensuring correct colour match and final finish to the vehicle to meet customer expectations
The role includes surface repairs including preparation and painting to manufacturers specifications
Work as part of a team under supervision
Acquire the ability to select and use modern paint techniques including lacquers, whilst using modern equipment and painting processes

Training to be provided:

Level 3 Vehicle Damage Paint Technician Apprenticeship Standard
Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths if required

Career Progression:

Upon completing the apprenticeship, you may wish to progress on to a Level 3 Panel Repair Technician or expand your interest into custom art paint graphics such as paint airbrushing techniques or specialist bespoke paint techniques
Other opportunities available will be a Level 4 management role and vehicle assessor
