We have an exciting opportunity for a self motivated individual to join us as a Personal Assistant and Assistant Business Manager working within the DIO Finance Function.

Person specification:

As a Finance Business and Personal Assistant in DIO you will:
Act as secretary to meetings including setting agendas, minute taking, ensuring that actions are captured allocated and actioned accordingly. Assist with the development of Management Information, dashboards and audit trackers.


You will have proven secretarial skills and will be responsible for the provision of secretarial and administrative support to your principle, duties include the day to day management of their fast paced, complex diary and mailbox, confirming and cancelling appointments, arranging meetings ensuring availability of venues and key customers, including Senior Military and Civilian staff.

Collate papers and packs for meetings.

A high standard of written communication is required, as well as frequent discussions with the principle to ensure awareness of their key priorities.

Collaborate and engage with officials both within and outside their directorate to help efficiently manage their principal's time and ensure the effective and efficient operation.


Process travel arrangements and documentation including rail/air, car hire and hotel bookings ensuring that the most efficient method of travel is used.

Provision of general admin support duties to other Finance principles and the wider Finance Business Management team.

Employment Hours


The post advertised is for 37 hours net, however the Ministry of Defence offers a range of flexibilities to enable a better work-life balance for employees.
