**PROJECT MANAGER

HARTLEBURY

Competitive Salary plus company car**
General Description:To provide technical and commercial project management for the company contracts from internal handover to final acceptance by the customer.

Main Duties, Operational Tasks and Responsibilities:

To manage all aspects of contracts so that they are completed within time, specification and budget.

- proactively manage the contracts to meet project timescales and improve margins.
- report on the contracts as required by the the project reporting processes.

Maintain, and assist in the development of, project management controls for costs and planning
Support the electrical and mechanical engineering departments in order to achieve the design standards for projects.
Foster and maintain harmonious relationships with customers, subcontractors and staff and to develop good working relationships
Attend, contribute to, and when required call such meetings as are required to effectively manage the contracts under the control of this role.
Maintain control over all staff and subcontractors working on the contracts and ensure they comply with all relevant Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental Protection standards and procedures
Give assistance as required in the process of quoting for new work for the business
Provide a flexible approach to meet the reasonable business goals
Support any activities at customer locations when required during the course of the project.
Carry out any other duties as reasonably required commensurate with the nature of the job and level of responsibility

Requirements of the Job:

Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with all levels of customers and colleagues.
Project manager with wide practical experience, comfortable working in technically and socially complex environments
Flexibility to work in the office and on customer's locations
Ability to work on own initiative and be self-driven
HND or higher STEM qualification is preferred
PMI or APM accreditation is preferred
Minimum of 5 years' experience within project management or similar role
