HSQE ADVISOR - Transport
CRICKLEWOOD
SALARY UPT TO £45K DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Our client is one of London and Home Counties waste management companies and they now require an experienced HSQE Advisor to join their team based at their head office in London, NW2.
Role Purpose
The HSQE Advisor is responsible to the Group HSQE Manager as detailed in the Company's organisation arrangements.
The HSQE Advisor role is split into an overview role and an individual specific role
These requirements are:
General
- To assist the compliance of the company within all departments.
- To assist in the production of company policies, procedures and all health and safety documentation in relation to the company undertaking.
- To assist and monitor the effectiveness of and compliance of all company policies, procedures and health and safety documentation.
- To assist and provide information and support to all Directors, Managers and Employees to support them in fulfilling their duty in health and safety.
- To assist and produce company policies and procedures relating to the company Health, Safety, Quality and Environment requirements.
- Review and assist in producing risk assessments in relation to the company activities and monitor their effectiveness.
- To assist and review company occupational health requirements.
- In the absence of the HSQE Manager, assist the company site management, when required, to liaise with local regulators, e.g. HSE, EA, Fire Brigade.
- Encourage good safety practices throughout the Company.
- Setting personal examples of health and safety and environmental awareness.
- To assist in the company accreditations and audits.
- To assist in the update and supervising of monitoring spreadsheets, including, action tracker, specific logs, LOLER inspections, equipment inspections, plant defects, etc.
Individual
- To monitor the company skills matrix and training requirements throughout the yard operation.
- To complete company inductions.
- To complete toolbox talks and job specific communication.
- Complete regular site inspections and monitoring systems, regarding yard safety, fire prevention, and environmental incidents.
- To assist in accident reports and statistics and reporting to company directors where required.
- To monitor health and safety, quality, and environmental matters, by conducting regular hazard spotting inspections and reporting the findings to department managers.
- To review and maintain the company approved supplier list (ASL) and subcontractor approval process.
- To control subcontractors working on behalf of the Company and working on the Company premises. This includes producing permits to work documents, subcontractor inductions, monitoring of subcontractors.
