Working within the United Kingdom (UK) International Private Bank (IPB) Wealth Management Operations team based in London, this role requires a wide range of experience from ensuring robust oversight of external and internal vendors and custodians engaged by Deutsche Bank UK, with particular focus on the adherence of Client Assets (CASS) regulation to a range of product and market knowledge to assist you in supporting our front office with complex client requests.


The team has a total of 3 team members who are able to interact with colleges from the front office to the back office, we navigate the organisation with confidence and the ability to provide a top class service to our clients.


You will build relationships with our middle office team based in India as well as our back office service provider, Avaloq Sourcing Switzerland, and Liechtenstein (ASSL), in order to support the IPB business.

A strong knowledge of UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations will be required along with wealth product knowledge.

Your key responsibilities

  • Monitor outsourced services in line with UK regulatory expectations (such as Systems and Controls Sourcebook (SYSC) including vendor risk management (VRM), and monthly reviews
  • Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring and review. Quality Assurance checks on reporting provided by outsourced service providers
  • Collation and analysis of management information system (MIS) such as custodian costs; nonstraight through processing (STP) reviews to identify risks and opportunities
  • Custodian agent bank management (legal docs, due diligence/Know Your Client (KYC) requests, regular meetings, fee negotiations. Participation in new product approvals (NPA) including testing
  • Support complex queries from front office (new markets; segregated accounts; new funds, large scale transferins)
  • Escalation contact for front and middle office on complex issues (corporate events, reconciliation discrepancies)

Your skills and experience

  • Good understanding of wealth management operations and/or banking products
  • Experience with banking regulatory framework
  • Understanding of risk management principles
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a rigorous mindset and keen eye for detail
  • Interest in project management
  • Solution oriented and teamspirited with the capacity to work in an international environment
