Junior Merchandiser - Stockport, United Kingdom - Cube International
Description
- Attending weekly trade meeting and presenting on performance. Following up on any actions from Trade meetings with the relevant teams and reporting back to the Merchandiser
- Supporting the Merchandiser with ad hoc analysis when requested.
- Supporting the Merchandiser with any in season and pre-season planning
- Ownership and management of the critical path and OPO to ensure all intake is on track and any amendments/delays are flagged to the Merchandiser
- Making sure systems are up to date with all PO amendments and new intake dates are reflected in the system when agreed with suppliers.
- Highlight to the Merchandiser any lateness or rolling intake and suggest actions to take from this
- Take ownership of tracking intake for key launches and events and provide updates to the wider teams
- Liaising with freight forwarders and updating internal documents with accurate dates/booking info
- Supporting with any PO raising or amendments when required
- Supporting the development and training of an MAA, as well as training of new Assistant Merchandisers
- Updating Linecards and reviewing actions to be taken, such as rebuys, cancellations etc

Reviewing slow sellers and overstocks in season and making suggestions to clear through by end of life.

Liaising with marketing in order to push promotional activity, as well as new launches, BIS etc.

Taking ownership of pre-order styles by managing dates, qtys and orders until the stock becomes available.

Taking ownership of a smaller account, including pre-season and in-season planning, managing OTB, overstocks & taking ownership of achieving budget KPIs set before season (Overseen by Merchandiser)
Key Skills

Experience working at Assistant Merchandiser level or above in a retail head office is essential

Planning, trading and analytical skills

Ability to think on feet and make decisions working within in a fast-paced environment

Strong commercial and brand awareness with an interest in product
