An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admin Co-ordinator within the Division of Medicine at the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.


The post holder will, in conjunction with the AMU Admin Co-ordinator be responsible for smooth running of all administrative aspects of the Acute Medicine department.


This will involve close liaison with key stakeholders, such as; the consultant team, the ward clerks and the Specialty manager, as well as understanding the demands and complexities of the service.


The post holder will play a pivotal role in ensuring that investigation requests are followed up, consultant letters are typed as well as completing secretarial work for all consultants in the Acute Medicine Team.


We need an enthusiastic and efficient individual to join the dynamic team in the Acute Medicine, required to be the main point to assist with all administrative responsibilities.

You will be a crucial part of the team and will support the clinical and managerial leads in delivering a high-quality service.

The Acute Medicine Admin Co-ordinator will be responsible for the daily admin support of the service and required to use computer systems to ensure all patient records are up to date, co-ordinate clinical letters and liaise with other departments around the hospital, such as radiology and diagnostics.


You should have a flexible, proactive and thorough approach with the ability to quickly form and maintain good working relationships with colleagues in different staff groups at all grades.

You should have the ability to think calmly and logically under pressure, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have a positive attitude to maintaining high standards at all times be quick to learn, able to work as part of a team and possess the ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative.

This vacancy is a part time post but all working patterns will be considered.
