ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Producer you will play a part in executing Audible's vision for original content development and production.

You will be required to project manage third party commissions, from development through to delivery, and have the ability to produce in-house productions if needed.

You will be proactive in building successful relationships with journalists, writers, agents, producers, directors, rights owners and talent. You will help to shape production standards and best practices for those projects that are subsequently greenlit and commissioned.

You will be "hands-on" and responsible for those projects they own, ensuring they are delivered to business-critical timelines, overseeing all aspects of production including script review and giving feedback on audio.

You will set creative ambitions high and have a low tolerance for mediocrity.

Reporting to the Director, Original Content (Non-Fiction), the remit of this role is rich, exciting and challenging. The job will be based out of Audible's London offices.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for the right combination of distinctive creative judgment, high emotional intelligence, exceptional understanding of storytelling, excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

You will have a love for great audio and storytelling. You are likely to have existing relationships with creatives and want to discover new writing, presenting and journalistic talent. You will want to push boundaries.

You will also possess a deep understanding of why great audio programs work - and how to foster greatness in your own projects.

  • Communicate and align with inhouse Production, Business Affairs, Audible Studios, Merchandizing, Content Marketing and wider teams (e.g., editorial, information requests, scheduling, etc.) as and when required. Work closely with internal teams on, marketing and merchandising strategies, promotional campaigns and utilization of our inhouse production resources.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate responses to third party submissions/enquiries, in order to build Audible's industry/creative community reputation.
  • Provide notes, script editing and other development support for both inhouse and third party pitches, pilots, short form and long form original projects crossportfolio as assigned by your manager.
  • Help oversee larger, multiplatform, business critical projects as and when needed.
  • Work with internal business intelligence and customer insight teams, and be comfortable with data informed decision making.
  • Maintain high editorial standards at all times.
  • Work closely with other members of the global Audible Original Content team and contribute to the wider content strategy.
