Job Advert:

We are a teacher led team of early years practitioners experienced in supporting children with Special Educational Needs.


Volunteering with this team will offer you a great opportunity to learn more about working with children with Special Educational Needs and develop skills.


How you'll make a difference**:

You will support the wellbeing of the pre-school learners, being an extra pair of hands when sessions are on.

Each day will be different, you maybe supporting with snack time, creative play or simply just being an extra body in the classroom.

You will help participants to get the most out of the programme.


When (hours & days if known) and where the role
is:
Ideally you will be available for either mornings
9am am or afternoon
12.30pm - 3pm Monday -Friday.

How many days / hours can be discussed with the volunteer manager. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months volunteering.

The role is based at the Mencap Childrens Centre in Belfast, BT8 6BT

We are looking for volunteers who are:

  • Friendly and approachable
  • Reliable and patient
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Accepting of others who might be different to yourself
  • Able to take instructions
  • 18 + years old
