Galleon Systems have been providing time servers and atomic clock related products for over 25 years, becoming specialists in the synchronisation of computer networks and technology.
Galleon's wide range of time synchronisation products include dedicated Network Time Protocol servers (NTP servers) that can synchronise entire networks, to simple atomic clock receivers that connect to a single PC.
The Role:
Galleon Systems are looking to hire a first line IT Systems Administrator to oversee server/network administration, configure and manage IT hardware, handle general internal support, and oversee technical support enquires for their range of time synchronisation products.
You'll work alongside a senior systems administrator who'll support and train you in-line with required duties, in addition to working within the larger web and digital marketing team.
- Level 3 IT qualifications and some network infrastructure experience.
- A keen eye towards problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written.
- A demonstrable interest in IT and keen to learn new skills.
Role Duties:
- Assist with network related administration tasks, including maintenance, updates, and new deployments.
- With knowledge of switches, routers, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, ADSI edit, and VPNs, etc.
- Install, configure, and maintain company hardware, such as laptops, desktops, phones (VOIP), and other devices.
- First line internal support and troubleshooting for daytoday staff issues.
- First line Galleon customer support and troubleshooting, via a ticketing system and incoming phone calls (training provided).
- Knowledge to install, configure, and support Windows and Linux operating systems/servers.
- Managing Office365 and Exchange Online.
- Trouble shoot technical problems with the dev team and put forward solutions that meet the business needs.
- Test and peer review company software for release.
