About the role:


This is a pivotal role in providing a high-quality service to the business and partners across Europe and the UK.

You will act as a key contact for the region and will work with tax colleagues, external advisors, finance teams, and other key stakeholdersto deliver the firm's tax strategy, including enforcing appropriate policies, effectively managing the tax position for the firm and partners, managing tax risks, and implementing changes to the structure of business activities in a tax efficient manner.


You will have a significant influence over all aspects of the Firm's global tax compliance and interaction with partners, the CFO, global finance teams and other business team functions.


Key responsibilities and challenges of the role:

  • Advising and delivering tax advice on projects and strategic initiatives involving European offices and partners.
  • Managing the calculation and reconciliation of reserves for partner taxes in European countries.
  • Advising on the tax efficient structuring of crossborder transactions.
  • Development of transfer pricing policy and updating supporting documentation.
  • Overseeing tax compliance in European offices including managing the provision of information to thirdparty advisors and supporting responses to enquiries by tax authorities.
  • Working with the wider Tax & Partnership function to ensure the efficient and effective completion of yearend processes including, the review of tax provisions, partner profitsharing, tax equalisation calculations, and corporate tax charges.
  • Working with the Heads of Tax to manage the work of the team, and train and develop the Advisors and Assistants.
  • Assessment of tax risks and the development and testing of policies, processes and controls to address risk.
  • Monitoring legislative changes and implementing plans to ensure additional compliance obligations are met and opportunities taken.

We are looking for:

  • A qualified Accountant
  • ACA, ACCA or CTA
  • Someone who has experience in Corporate or Partnership Tax
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the firm
