Description
We design and install bespoke frameless & architectural glass solutions to the residential and commercial sectors.

That means anything from a bespoke shower screen to an entire frameless glass extension, with plenty of frameless glass balustrades in between We pride ourselves on being known for our friendly, professional approach, high quality products and superb attention to detail.

We are looking for the right person to join our installation team, working alongside our installations manager, to complete the installations to the highest standard that our customers have come to expect.

No one day is ever the same; one day you could be fitting a shower screen in Brighton and the next day you might be in Oxford completing a multi-storey glass lift shaft.

We would like to find someone who can develop the skills, experience and attention to detail, along with the dedication and desire to progress to installations supervisor in the future.

Your day will start out by loading the company van at our depot, ready for the day ahead (you must be willing to lift and manoeuvre large panels of glass with other members of the team).

After travelling to site, you will complete the installation in line with the drawings and any health and safety procedures, reporting back to the office team to ensure everyone stays up to date.

On days with no installations, you will be expected to take delivery of glass panels for upcoming projects, check deliveries for accuracy and correctness, check stock levels and parts for upcoming projects and undertake site surveys with the installations manager / project manager.

Our projects can be anywhere in the UK but are primarily based in the local area (East & West Sussex), London and the greater South East.

The role will require early starts in Burgess Hill, so it would be best if you are local, and then travel in the company van to reach sites on time and complete installations as required.

Overtime will be paid for hours worked over your standard hours and occasionally overnight stays away from home may be required.

  • Be physically capable of carrying out the desired labour requirements;
  • A friendly and helpful approach to all customers and team members;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail & pride in your work;
  • Willingness to learn and a drive to succeed. Desire to progress within the company;
  • Be an independent thinker & problem solver to be able to work on your own and within the team;
  • To accurately read and mark out measurements to the nearest mm;
  • Good timekeeping, happy with early starts and willingness to travel every day;
  • Familiar and competent with a range of common hand and power tools (drills, mitresaw, grinder etc);
  • Read/Write/Speak: Basic level of English.
  • Ideally located within a short commute of Burgess Hill.
  • Desirable:_
  • Onsite construction experience preferred, ideally within glass, carpentry, or architectural metalwork;
  • Valid CSCS card;
  • Proficient in written & spoken English;
  • Basic computer skills including the use of MS Word.
  • Required:_
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Load the company van for installations;
  • Travel with teammates in company vehicle to site every day;
  • Follow installation drawings and health and safety details;
  • Undertake installations with the highest level of care and to the highest level of detail with the installations manager;
  • Liaise with office staff and follow the installations schedule;
  • Undertake detailed surveys with the installations manager/project manager;
  • Assist the office team with organisation & parts for projects;
  • Undertake relevant H&S training and other relevant training as required;
