  • Job description

Summary

  • To assist the Cleaning and Campus Services Manager in managing effectively sanitation, replenishing and cleaning off all communal toilets and showers, office, theatre, Library areas, reporting maintenance issues to the FM helpdesk.
  • To work and assist the conference team with the events
  • Keeping the stores cupboard clean and tidy and maintain a stocktake
  • To assist Supervisor carrying out inspections where required, and to ensure a smooth running of the cleaning and Campus Services.
  • To constantly wipe and sanitise touch points throughout.
  • To work weekends according to rota
  • To carry a university radio for communication
  • To sweep, wet mop, machine clean, floors, as appropriate for the type of surface within the area to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • To check and restock consumable items as appropriate, ensuring minimum stock levels are maintained
  • To report any faults of difficulties encountered with equipment, services (lighting/water/power), fixtures or fittings are reported to Supervisors and/or Security.
  • To ensure individual personal safety and that of others by using hazard warning

Job Details

  • To provide a highquality cleaning service for the student class rooms and across the University Campus.
  • To Clean toilets and showers in the morning before the students arrive onsite, maintain a good standard of cleaning and hygiene, understand the importance to work under the pandemic, to follow company rules, policy, procedures and instructions. Report to Housekeeping Supervisor
  • To participate in work programmes as appropriate to duties and as directed by the Housekeeping Manager and appointed representatives, which may vary between location, term and nonterm weeks, ensuring the University facilities are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition throughout the year.
  • To clean internal glass and internal and external door glass where accessible.
  • Where practicable and/or as directed, ensure windows and doors are closed and lights switched off.
