Supporting the Finance Manager, your key duties in this Accounts Assistant role will include but are not limited to:

  • Raising sales invoices.
  • Assist in the recovery of all debts.
  • Prepare weekly debtors reports.
  • Entering purchase invoices and ensuring payments are made on time.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports.
  • Manage balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of year end accounts.
  • Prepare VAT returns.

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:

  • 2+ years' experience within a similar accountancy role.
  • Numerate individual with a focus on accuracy.
  • Experience using Xero desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Although this is a remote role, applicants must be able to commute to an office in Bury St Edmunds twice weekly should the company choose to establish an office in future years.

Currently, there is no office so the role will be 5 days working from home.
