Alfast Fixings & Fasteners is currently recruiting for a part-time Office Assistant based at our premises in Milton Keynes. The role will be an exciting mixture of general office and accounts administration.


Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Data entry of supplier invoices and maintain accurate records.
  • Raising sales invoices, credit notes as required.
  • Credit control in line with Company procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve supplier and customer invoice queries.
  • Filing of all sales, accounting and other admin records accurately.


  • Basic Outlook skills

  • Diary management for Company director & travel arrangements.
  • Managing the daytoday office equipment & invoicing printers, telephones, broadband, etc.
  • Picking and checking of sales orders in warehouse when required.
  • Checking and booking in of purchase orders received in warehouse when required.
  • Covering staff absences when required.

Requirements:


  • Minimum requirements: GCSE (or equivalent) Maths, English
  • Grade C or above.
  • Experience with Sage (desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided).
  • Credit control experience (desirable).
  • High degree of trust and integrity comfortable with handling confidential information.
  • Proficient IT skills good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel & Power point.
  • Accurate data input skills & attention to detail.
  • Administration experience with first class organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Ability to work independently after training.
  • Ability to solve problems but also knowing boundaries and when to ask for help or guidance.
  • Other adhoc duties when required.
Experience within a fasteners environment desirable, but not essential as full training will be given.


Hours of work will be 25 per week, Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.00pm with a half hour for lunch.

From £10.75 per hour
