Data Services consists of a team of dedicated analysts & managers responsible for all internal & external reporting requirements.


Our service is at the start of an exciting journey to revolutionise the Trust's use of data & to provide evidence-based intelligence.

Our ambition is to empower our staff by making high-quality, validated, easy-to-use information & intelligence widely available through our new intelligence hub using tools such as PowerBI, R, Python & mapping solutions.


You will be at the heart of this revolution working with key stakeholders across the trust's services to ensure their requirements are embedded in the delivery of evidence based decisions.


The team is primarily based at the Trust's corporate offices, although we have moved to primarily remote working during the pandemic.

The role will provide ample opportunities for collaborating with clinicians & other Trust departments to improve the organisation's capability.

Our team aims to empower its members to make decisions & influence the organisation independently, whilst providing solid support & team working as needed.

The role is pending banding at 8a.


The Head of Data Services will help us break down silos & get data flowing into powerful data marts for analysis & reporting.

You will help break our dependency on a small number of gatekeepers controlling access to data by ensuring customers can utilise as much information as required directly from the new hub.


The Head of Data Services is responsible for driving forward the Data Strategy and working with corporate support teams and service directorates to build data driven results across the Trust.

They will influence, shape and challenge across the Trust, ensuring a joined-up approach to data.

To develop and implement a data strategy for CCS which consolidates and harnesses corporate and service data sets to deliver insight.


Work with senior leaders to understand their requirements and deliver a high-quality service which enables insight led decision making both at a strategic and operations level.


Collaborate across the CCS teams and services to share insight, understand corporate objectives and progress, and provide a relevant and targeted service to customers.


Manage incoming demand to the Data Services team, prioritising and assessing requests based on priority, capacity and the suitability of the request for the team.

Drive the development of analytical capability across CCS, proactively sharing knowledge and building networks, to build a more sustainable workforce and draw on capacity to manage demand for insight
