Job Brief
You will be joining a growing multi-national business based in Pocklington, York.

Our business involves the production of specialist, metal detectable and x-ray visible products which mitigate against foreign body contamination in food and pharmaceutical manufacture.

Your role will be to join the manufacturing teams for all aspects of assembly and production. This includes fulfilling orders, quality assurance issues whilst adhering to local health and safety procedures. You will expected to learn how to operate new processes and machinery to the point you are able work independently and troubleshoot problems

Responsibilities

Follow schedule production plans for all product manufactured.
Learn new processes and SOPs with particular focus on safe working.
Liaise with production departments for upcoming demand and arrange relevant material and staffing.
Check parts are of good quality and comply with acceptable standards for relevant product line.

Requirements:

Be practically minded with experience in plastic fabrication or injection moulding machinery
Be able to work at a fast pace and meet deadlines
Deal with multiple projects simultaneously
Have a flexible approach. Although manufacturing is planned in advance, often project priorities will change.

Working relationships

Production team:You will learn of new orders and keep and inform team of stock shortages and concerns.

R&D team: The R&D team are continually adding new products to our range. There will be a hand over to the production team for how these are made, costs and resources.

Company Directors: The company is structured for regular communication and updates with senior management.

Hours
4 x 12 hour shifts per week (weekdays only)

Salary:
£26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
