We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Warehouse Stock Assistant to work within our busy production and distribution environment.


Barkston Plastic Ltd is an innovative manufacturing organisation providing engineered solutions to a number of growth industries as well as product direct to consumers.

Main Duties:


The primary purposes of this role are to take receipt of deliveries, rotate goods and move stock onto the production shop floor when required for production.

This will be a busy role and there is plenty of opportunity to make this role your own.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that all deliveries are unloaded and transported to the correct location safely using a forklift
  • Check and sign for deliveries to ensure that it accords with supplier documentation.
  • Identify and report to Warehouse Manager any shortages, over supply or damage in deliveries
  • Deal with any goods inward & goods outward related queries
  • Manage customer enquiries at the Trade Sales Counter
  • Programme machinery as and when required
  • Order pick materials for Production in accordance with prescribed timelines
  • Identify any material shortages and ensure that they are notified to Production in advance of materials being required
  • Provide quality and efficient forklift service for both internal & external customers
Prepare and pack customer orders ensuring orders are correct and in line with Company quality control.

  • Ensure all breakages or damaged items are reported to the Warehouse Manager
  • Ensure that all handling of materials is in accordance with Company Quality Management System
  • Identify and report any material wastage to the Warehouse Manager
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with health and safety legislation using any processes or equipment, and resources; in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Skills/Qualifications:


  • FLT driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A proven track record in providing outstanding customer service.
  • A strong work ethic and a positive/proactive attitude to work.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise/manage several tasks concurrentl

Pay:
£11.44 per hour
