Description:

Escape Recruitment are working with their client based in Livingston to recruit an Experienced Quality Inspector.

Main Responsibilities:

Perform and document quality checks on incoming materials and components received from subcontractors.
Perform and document initial, in process and final quality checks on components produced in house as required by our ISO compliant systems, using manual tool such as micrometers and a CNC CMM. Training will be provided on the CMM if required.
Ensure calibration of all measuring equipment both internal and external.
Manage and oversee inspection equipment maintenance when required.
Replenish inspection equipment inventory when required.
Manage calibration documentation accordingly to a high standard.
Support with additional workshop tasks such as hand finishing parts, fitting helicoils, assemblies etc, as per all employees.
Document and create FAIR inspection reports where required.
Manage FAIR documentation accordingly to a high standard.
Report non conformance's where applicable following our ISO compliant system process.
Other duties may be required that fall within the Engineers experience bracket if required.
Customer interaction and site visits may be required when necessary.

Experience:

Experienced time served craftsman preferred.
Experience of Milling and Turning operations.
Experience of Welding/Fabrication ad advantage.

This role is permanent - Fully on-site working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week. The salary is upwards of £35k.
