It's why we are looking for someone who sees the world in a similar way, to take up an exciting Education, Communication & Outreach (ECO) Officer role.
You will engage with residents and community groups across Watford to promote effective recycling and responsible environmental behaviour.Together with the Contract ECO Manager you will deliver the annual Education and Communications Plan and help to increase the environmental performance in Watford.
What will you be doing? -Researching, developing and delivering projects to promote effective recycling and responsible environmental behaviours.-Communicating with residents to solve issues with waste collections and inform them of any changes to their waste and recycling services -Delivering engagement activities to achieve project goals which could include identifying target audiences, developing appropriate strategies to communicate key messages and change behaviours, organising community events and door-knocking target areas.
-Responsible for delivering educational sessions to schools. -Creating briefs and managing relationships with design agencies, printers and other third party suppliers to produce creative communication materials.-Supporting the ECO Manager to deliver the Education and Communication Plan, prepare press releases, website updates, and social media communications.
-Supporting internal communications campaigns to improve our working culture and safety performance, and liaising with the operational teams on service issues and campaign plans.
-Undertaking and supporting on a food waste flats service change including liaising with managing agents and the operational teams -Delivering communication to residents and managing agents who are signed up for the opt in food waste collection service and dealing with any issues that arise due to the changes.
What are we looking for? Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence and experience driving in the UK.
