Job Purpose:
To supervise a team of Line Operatives within the Production Team, ensuring company procedures and policies are adhered to.


Key Tasks / Responsibilities:


Principle Accountabilities & Objectives

  • To manage the production line and pick in its entirety
  • To carry out daily temperature checks of all personnel under your responsibility on the line
  • To sign personnel on the line in at the start of their shift, in and out at break times, conduct any spot checks and out at the end of the day
  • To ensure any late arrival for shift is communicated to a supervisor / manager
  • To ensure personnel arrive back promptly from all breaks and this is reported appropriately
  • To ensure the line is replenished with stock throughout the shift
  • To ensure production and quality targets are communicated, monitored and met
  • To monitor and manage product quality
  • Know your team
  • Communicate with Supervisors and Senior Managers prior to and at the end of shift to go over daily plans and results.
  • Liaise with QA regarding quality standards and ensure all team members are aware and receive training if required.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance in line with current best practice.
  • Support the Production Management Team to monitor and control the use of resource in a cost effective manner.
  • Identify areas of improvement and work with senior managers to adjust existing work procedures and practices ensuring SMART methodology s utilised
  • Ensure all communications are accurate and specific to job requirements
  • Clearly communicate job expectations to all staff under your supervision and monitor, coach and motivate your team within current practices
  • Support senior management in issues relating to Policy and HR adherence amongst team.
  • Ensure clean as you go policy is adhered to.
