Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and provide support to and act for, other sections within the Accounts group when required.
  • Responsible to ensure that safety, security, and accident reporting standards are applied without compromise.
  • Coordinate daily activities, observe workflow, plan and assign duties as required, allocate restbreaks in accordance with statutory directives, ensuring efficient use of available resources, assist in vacation requests and timecard completion.
  • Be proactive and visible, provide on the job assistance to employees through coaching and counselling, identify training and learning support requirements of the department and report them accordingly, including ACU online, in house training requirements.
  • Ensure all members of staff are advised, updated and adhere to company policies & procedures at all times.
  • Oversee CASS billing processes for UK & Ireland, Exports and Imports, liaise with internal and external customers when necessary, regrading this function and others.
  • Arrange new UK accounts when required, plus over sales territories within the LHR mother station network.
  • Complete Cash draw functions and bank statements within WebLynx and CASS
  • Work to various deadlines, plus provide reports and data to internal customers and reconciliations on an ad hoc and ongoing basis.
  • Manage invoicing on Ariba finance management tool
  • Attend regular UK CASS meetings.

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to work in the United Kingdom without restriction
  • Previous Cargo experience an advantage
  • Good computer skills with a high level of accuracy, Microsoft Office experience an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel/database software
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Must be a team player and represent Air Canada in a professional manner
  • Must have an ability to use tact, good judgement and initiative, with a flexible attitude and willingness to make decisions for the benefit of both Air Canada Cargo and our Customers
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan workload and meet deadlines
