Billing Assistant

Woodland Hospital | Permanent | Competitive| Full time

The Role


An exciting opportunity has arisen at Woodland Hospital as we continue to expand with a new Day Case Hospital - Glendon Wood.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all activity is invoiced according to targets and contractual requirements.
  • Work alongside other departments within the hospital to resolve billing queries and help with the continuous improvement of processes.
  • Completing electronic and/or manual data entry in an accurate and timely manner to agreed standards.
  • Respond timely for any request of information.
  • Taking payment from patients in accordance with financial procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills to include Excel and Word
  • Previous experience with Maxims and SAP I-SH desired
  • The ability to support patients with their enquiries

About Us


The Woodland hospital in Kettering has four theatres operating 6 days a week, covering a diverse range of elective services including Orthopaedic, Spinal, Pain, General surgery, Weight loss Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, ENT and Ophthalmology.

We have a 23 bedded inpatient ward and 19 Day case Rooms /Bays. We also have a pharmacy and physiotherapy unit and radiology services at the hospital.
