Are you a Nursery Practitioner looking to work hours to suit you?


We are working with a number of day nurseries across Stevenage who are looking for nursery practitioners of all levels to provide cover for daily and long term bookings.

The Requirements:

  • Hold an early years qualification or have experience of working in an early years setting.
  • Have the ability and experience of teaching in your desired specialism or key stage.
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.
  • Possess the passion to have a positive impact within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist room leaders in the development of lesson plans and classroom activities.
  • Provide oneonone or small group support to students who need extra help.
  • Supervise students during lessons, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Support classroom management and assist with behaviour management strategies.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of children's progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a nursery practitioner desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in education or child development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
