EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW


Our Asset Information Standards team have an excellent opportunity to join as our new
Asset Data Governance Specialist.**In this role you'll assume a pivotal position in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and compliance of critical asset data within the organisation.


Additionally, you'll spearhead the development and implementation of robust data governance standards and procedures to uphold data integrity, privacy, and adherence to regulatory mandates.

This will include involvement with industry-level OpenData initiatives and a high level of collaboration with senior internal and external stakeholders.


Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining a robust framework of asset data sharing and open data standards aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements. While ensuring adherence to data governance regulations and industry standards, preparing the business for audits and assessments.
  • You'll support and champion the development of a comprehensive data catalogue, organising asset information for easy discovery and understanding.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with data sharing, implementing measures to protect sensitive information during sharing processes. You'll also collaborate with stakeholders to integrate and align data governance practices with business processes and goals.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE


We're seeking our new Asset Data Governance Specialist to be comfortable fostering a culture of responsible data management, championing transparency, accountability, and innovation within the organisation.


To be successful in this role you'll have In-depth knowledge of data governance principles, regulatory compliance, and industry standards and process these to a high level.


Additionally, you'll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to promote data governance practices effectively.


It would also be beneficial if you have knowledge of ISO55001 Asset Management and ISO8000-1 for data quality and ideally come from a water/gas background, but this is not essential.
