Finance Assistant

40hrs per week
Nuneaton, CV11

- £22-25k per annum (depending upon experience)

Holiday: 22 days per year

Magna Signs manufactures and installs signage across UK for an extensive catalogue of blue-chip customers, whom we are proud to work alongside.

Our company has seen considerable growth of late and it is crucial that our Accounts and Administration Team work alongside all the team at Magna to ensure the best possible service to our customers and stakeholders.

This position welcomes you to a small, friendly, and fast paced office where you will be responsible for some of the below tasks.

Processing of sales and purchase ledger invoices, using our AutoEntry software and Sage 50.
Processing of credit card for 6 users.
Keeping our card accounts up to date and monitoring spend such as Screwfix/Premier Inn
Daily banking and reconciliations including Euro account
Preparation and payment of BACS run monthly
Keeping accurate records for personnel, including sickness and annual leave.
Have a good understanding of accounts and be familiar with Sage reports, basic wage journals and credit control
Demonstrate a professional attitude whilst chasing debtors and updating ledgers.
Be able to run a month end with assistance if required
Be able to use Microsoft outlook efficiently
Process and pay off staff expenses and mileage
Would be advantageous to have knowledge of domestic reverse charge/CIS/payroll and retention.
Basic processing of prepayments and accruals
Knowledge of VAT and submission of returns
Answer the telephone and any adhoc administrative duties that may be required.
Have strong excel skills
Flexible approach to work in order to meet deadlines
