DESCRIPTION

Our busy sewing workroom is looking for an experienced and talented Production Assistant to assist in the manufacturing of our drapes.

Drapemakers is a drape manufacturers working within Presentation Design Services in Derby.

You will be required to use the company's industrial sewing machines, overlocker and other workroom equipment to manufacture theatrical drapes and other fabric items under the instruction of the Workroom Manager and Manufacturing Supervisor.

Precision and attention to detail is crucial within the role.


EXPERIENCE

• Experience of working with industrial sewing machines is essential
• Experience of working in the live events or theatre industries would be beneficial

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To use the company's sewing machines, overlocker and other workroom equipment to manufacture theatrical drapes and other fabric items
• To be proactive about identifying tasks that need carrying out.
• To work according to company health and safety policies.
• Be willing to work with and alongside any other area of PDS as and when required.
• Always maintaining a high level of customer service and attention to detail.

SKILLS

• Ability to handle large fabrics which can be heavy is essential
• Capable of working in a fastpaced environment to respond to changing deadlines throughout the day
• Comfortable with working away from base at customers' venues would be beneficial

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: 40 per week


Salary:
£22,672.00 per year
