Description
This role sits within the Cigna's European Actuarial team. The team is involved in a diverse range of Actuarial work including Reserving, Pricing and Statutory Reporting. This role will report directly to the Head of Valuation.


The primary objective of this role is to lead the Reserving process for local and Corporate Statutory Reporting for Cigna's Global Individual health business.

Key Responsibilities


Plan and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual Reporting process for Belgian GAAP, USGAAP (including business modelled under LDTI) and Solvency II frameworks.

Technical/Senior Review of the Results.

Guide the team to produce in-depth analysis of the results.

Implement Professional Excellence in the process.

Communicate the results to the stakeholders including the Management, external and internal auditors, and Regulators

Support the rest of the team in the Statutory Reporting processes.

Lead the regular experience studies and propose the assumptions for various valuation.

Motivate the team to proactively improve the process.

Ensure the team members have the right work-life balance.


Qualifications:

Qualified actuary (FIA/FFA or equivalent) with at least 4 years' experience.

Technical Competencies

Prophet or equivalent software experience is essential.

Solvency II, USGAAP reporting and relevant Health business reserving an advantage.

People management experience will be an advantage.

Good documentation and communication skills are essential.

Strong technical and leadership skills

Non-Technical Competencies

Effective communication and participation in discussions with wider business

Ability to organise own work and the team's to meet deadlines

Able to collaborate across the actuarial teams
