We are looking for a Mechanical Estimator to join our busy team in London


Salary:
depends on knowledge and experience, however between 50-60k


The primary purpose of the job holder is to produce tenders and supporting documentation efficiently and professionally to a high standard.

This role is crucial in ensuring good working relationships with new and existing clients. You will be working closelywith the Head of Estimating to ensure all tenders are reviewed and prior to submission.


Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities:


  • The role will be ideally officebased working, however for the correct individual we will consider WFH with regular visits to the office.
  • Manage tenders from enquiry through to submission
  • Conducting surveys when required
  • Reading and understanding the scope of works, specification and drawings
  • Attend meetings with clients and senior management
  • Managing deadlines and carrying out estimates in a competent and organised way
  • Provide value engineering solutions
  • Liaise with Head of Estimating throughout tender period
  • Measure quantities from tender drawings
  • Liaise with new and existing supply chain
  • Produce handover documents and liaise closely with the projects team

Mechanical Estimator Requirements:

Mechanical background and mechanical estimating experience essential. A strong communicator with the ability to work well alone and as part of a time. Experience in both HVAC and Mechanical systems Much preferred as tenders are both Vent and AC schemes andalso mechanical.

  • Ability to estimate projects from £50k to £1.5m
  • Proven experience estimating commercial and hospitality projects
  • Experience using Cypher beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Appreciation of data and documentation integrity
  • Proactive and positive
  • Good communication and IT skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Highly organised with ability to multitask and work with tight deadlines to achieve objectives
  • A minimum of 3 years experience as an Estimator
  • Professional qualifications and professional body memberships is preferable
