The Respiratory Intervention service at the John Radcliffe Hospital currently has a vacancy for a full-time band 2 nursing assistant.

The service provides bronchoscopy and pleural procedures to a variety of patients.

We are looking for a highly motivated person who would like to join our enthusiastic team.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be required to rotate through the recovery area and into our procedure room to maintain a full range of support skills.


The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

You will be required to assist the nursing and medical staff with a variety of respiratory procedures including bronchoscopy, chest drain insertion and pleural aspiration.

You will be required to assist in both the procedure room and the recovery area. Full training will be provided.

The hours of work are

  • Monday 08:00 18:00
Tuesday 08:00 - 18:00

Wednesday 08:00 - 12:30

Thursday 08:00 - 18:00

Friday 08:00 - 12:30
