DUTIES OF THE POST:


Principal Responsibilities:


The Clinical Fellow will work at Registrar levels (ST3+ equivalent) in both the Emergency Department (ED) and Ambulatory Assessment Units (AAU) of the John Radcliffe & Horton Hospitals on a 50%: 50% split basis.


The Oxford University Hospitals OUH NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) is one of the largest teaching trusts in the country, with a national and international reputation for the excellence of its services and its role in teaching and research.


The Trust is split between 3 sites in Oxford (John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre) and one in Banbury (Horton Hospital), with the John Radcliffe and Horton Hospitals focussing on acute, unplanned care.


The Trust provides general hospital services for the local population in Oxfordshire and more specialist services on a regional and national basis.

It employs about 9,500 staff.


The Trust works in close co-operation with the University of Oxford (medicine) and Brookes University (allied health services), and is a leading centre for research programmes in cancer, neurosciences, diabetes, genetics and many other fields.

Working schedule:

24/7 service

50% Emergency Medicine - 50% Acute General Medicine (swapping every - 8 weeks)

1 in 3 Weekends

Annualised rota; equivalent to 32 days leave and all study leave granted.

Bank holidays built into annualised rota
