Description

Post-16 Lead
Central London (with hybrid working)

The Organisation

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is an independent charity dedicated to breaking the link between family income and educational achievement.

We do this by supporting schools, colleges and nurseries to improve teaching and learning through better use of evidence.

We generate research evidence on effective practice in supporting learning outcomes and narrowing the socioeconomic attainment gap, and we work with education professionals to ensure this evidence is applied to achieve the maximum possible benefit for children and young people.

The EEF's reach and impact has been tremendous: the English education system is now one of the most evidence-informed in the world.

Over half of state primary and secondary schools have taken part in an EEF-funded trial, and 70% of all school leaders use the Teaching and Learning Toolkit to inform their decision-making.

We are currently seeking a Post-16 Lead to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Benefits

  • Salary of circa £56,500 per annum (D.O.E)
  • Flexible start and end working times (core hours between 10am and 4pm)
  • Flexible working opportunities
  • 27 days' holiday a year (plus 8 bank holidays including 3 which can be taken flexibly)
  • 2 festive season closure days
  • 6% employer pension contributions, minimum 3% employee contribution
  • Life insurance cover
  • Interestfree season ticket loan and cycle scheme
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave pay (conditions apply)
  • Confidential Employee Assistance Programme to help you deal with any personal and professional problems

This is a brilliant opportunity for a high calibre project manager with extensive knowledge of the post-16 education landscape to join our dedicated organisation.

This rewarding role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the post-16 sector, working with a diverse range of influential stakeholders and contributing to improving outcomes for young people across England.

With plenty of prospects for professional development and an environment geared towards maximising, and delivering on, your potential, you will be enabled to grow even more, go further and achieve great things.

The Role

As our Post-16 Lead, you will manage and deliver our post-16 work in order to build an evidence-base for developments and initiatives within the post-16 education sector.

Developing a range of project timelines, budgets and plans, you will establish systems for effective cross-working and communication to ensure a coherent and "sector-friendly" approach to our work.

You will co-ordinate and deliver post-16 evidence generation work, including overseeing the funding of programme evaluations in post-16 settings and the funding of approaches to evaluations.

Additionally, you will:

  • Line manage the Senior Programme Manager
  • Coordinate and support post16 evidence synthesis work
  • Commission evidence and practice reviews
  • Communicate with, and draw together, key stakeholders in the sector

About You
To be considered as our Post-16 Lead, you will need:

  • Experience managing large-scale, complex delivery projects
  • Experience communicating research
  • Experience of stakeholder relationship management
  • Expertise in leading the work of others and coordinating diverse teams
  • An excellent understanding of the post16 sector
  • A strong understanding of education research in terms of research design
The closing date for this role is 11th March 2024.

Other organisations may call this role Senior Project Manager, Programme Manager, Programme Lead, Education Project Manager, Head of Programme Delivery, or Senior Project Delivery Manager.

Webrecruit and EEF are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.

Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.
