_This role is being advertised by Savills Management Resources (SMR) a wholly owned entity of Savills (UK) Limited but a separate employing entity which is not accredited by Real Living Wage Foundation._
Purpose of the Role
To assist with the smooth running of the building and to assist with all emergency situations when they occur. This includes providing visible security cover, handling enquiries and customer concerns, monitoring CCTV and controlling contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- To work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment.
- To undertake regular patrols of the building as instructed.
- To carry out duties in accordance with instructions issued by building managers.
- To comply fully with the Health & Safety Policy on site.
- To comply with their individual responsibilities to ensure that the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order are complied with, in line with company policy and site procedures.
- To ensure that the rules & regulations of the building are complied with at all times.
- Ensure that all incidents are recorded in the correct manner.
- Ensure that contractors arriving on site adhere fully, to requirements for contractor management and site H&S in line with the company policy and site procedures.
- Ensure thatthe building is a safe and pleasant environment for staff and visitors.
- To assist with enquiries from the public and emergency services if so required.
- To be aware of and abide by all rules, terms and conditions of the company.
- In order to comply with the Security Industry Act 2001, officers must hold a valid SIA Security Licence and where necessary a Public Space Surveillance Licence.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Experience in the provision of security services in a busy environment visited by members of the public.
- In order to comply with the Security Industry Act 2001, officers must hold a valid SIA Security Licence and where necessary a Public Space Surveillance Licence.
- Ability to demonstrate good levels of customer service at all times.
- Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
- Honest and reliable work ethic.
- Willingness to partake inonsite training for emergency procedures.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work patterns and work weekends/evenings as and when required.
- Willingness to undertake additional training and career development.
- Well presented.
- Accurate record keeping with good attention to detail.
Desirable
- Operational experience within an office building environment.
Working Hours
7pm-7am, Shifts - 4 on 4 off
Salary
£10.50 per hour (Avg 48 hrs)
